I LOVE cookbooks! I have over 80 at last peek. I read them like a suspense novel, anxiously awaiting that incredible moment when, I find THE recipe for that cozy little soiree I can't wait to have. Oh, the ooh's, the aah's... You foodies, you know what I mean... the recipe where you are patting yourself on the back, in advance... These are some of my fav's:
I'd have to say that "We Called It Macaroni, An American Heritage of Southern Italian Cooking" by Nancy Verde Barr is my all time favorite. It's not just a recipe book. It is the history of her family, and their passion for everything in the kitchen. She vividly explains what ingredients were used in each family meal, and how they were grown, who had the best garden, and the gossip that surrounded each and every tomato. I think you may end up getting one for yourself...

hey janet!! ya I am sooooo much better than last time, just a little sick at night which I will take anyday compared to last time! I wonder if the stress of my job back then is what helped contribute to the sickness then. :) anyway, I hear every pregnancy is different so yeah!! or maybe its a girl? :) I am starting my 13th week. your family looks like you guys are doing wonderful and its so nice you keep in touch through my blog. your such a wonderful person. so glad I know ya!! have a good day!!!
hey again! just read your post. we put a cirlce cover on his door handle so he can't open it. our house is old so its the old school circle door knobs. most homes have the other ones so I don't know what you have. but I got them at any baby safety isle at any store, walmart, target, etc. good luck!!
I have never seen someone with such a collection of cooking books! I'm still waiting for my first one, it's on my amazon wishlist, haha.
